Forest beat officer electrocuted by electric trap set by hunters in Kothagudem’s Burgampad

A forest beat officer (FBO) was electrocuted allegedly by an electric trap set up by hunters to kill wild animals in Burgampad mandal in the district. The deceased beat officer, Bhukya Naveen Naik, aged around 45 years, was attached to Cheruvusingaram (west) beat in Paloncha forest range. According to officials the FBO along with other staff went to Nakiripet forest area on Tuesday late night following a tip off about the electric traps.
